A Water Pitcher
A very handsome and strong looking, pewter water pitcher with several stamps to the base including: "Stimpsons Patent Double Wall Pitcher. April 17 1854." and "Sole Agents in London, the Wenhan Lake Ice Company, 140 Strand WC."
The "double wall" gives the vacuum effect seen in modern thermos flasks, presumably to keep the water cold; sadly, it is missing its lid but remains a really cool and uasable object.
