Late 18thC Oak stool with drop-in rush seat and slightly splayed legs with nice wear to both longer stretchers.
There is a large engraved arrow to the inside of the top frame suggesting military/naval origins, the splayed legs perhaps giving more steadfastness if used on a ship….
